The Under Secretary of State for the

Colonies presents his compliments to the Under

Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and is

directed to acknowledge the receipt of his note of

the 5th overber, ko.161367/15, enclosing a copy of

telegraphic correspondence with regard to a suggestion

that ferman subjects should be expelled from Foreign

Concessions in China.

2. Sir J. Anderson is to state for the

information of Secretary 3ir K. Gray that copies of

the telerrems will not be communicated to the

overnor of Hong Kong.
